Paidia International Development is engaged in ethical and sustainable community and leadership development in all Palestinian communities, particularly those which are marginalized. In doing so, the organization seeks to empower individuals and communities to handle complex interpersonal and cultural realities by facilitating relationships and encouraging service within the context of adventure education.
My role within Paidia is to facilitate long-term, programmatic sustainability by fostering leadership and administrative skills within the program managers, providing realistic assessment tools, and developing new programs which provide income and/or further the mission and awareness of Paidia as a whole.
In part, this involves working along with the program manager of the Living Branches Program. This program seeks to develop servant leaders within the Palestinian Christian community equipped to engage diverse personal, cultural, and societal challenges by teaching and modeling an active application of Christian principles and encouraging service within the wider community.
